I'm a Midlands based musician, juggling a busy life as a freelance flautist and educator.Through my work for Birmingham's Services for Education Music Service, and my experience working with young people with additional needs, I became involved in a teaching pilot with OHMI in 2015. I have since taught young musicians the One Handed Recorder through OHMI's Music Maker Scheme, as well as leading a number of OHMI Arts Award days. Knowing the positive impact access to one of these instruments can have, and having seen the design of the recorder develop over the past few years, I'm really excited to see where the Challenge could take us next and the opportunities it could provide for more young musicians!
